Our wooden adornments are handmade by traditional people of natural materials, responsibly harvested and supporting nature, craft and culture, improving the quality of life and providing jobs that showcase talents and skills. We work closely with our artists to create our jewelry and earrings. We offer a great selection including wood hoop earrings, wood gauges, wood body jewelry and wooden earrings. Our amazing and unique variety of wood earrings are made just like all of our jewelry with great care in a huge selection of designs and materials, in styles ranging from hoop earrings to tribal and spiral as well as classic styles..

Creating wooden jewelry is a special art. The wood itself is the most beautiful part of the jewelry, and we create our jewelry by first choosing the perfect looking wood that shows good color and shine, with the best looking color variations and striping that will look great for each design and style of the wood jewelry and earrings when the process of carving and polishing is complete. As trees grow wildly, every single one is different. The grain of the wood changes depending on the story of the life of the tree. When a young tree is bent, sometimes it creates brilliant swirls and chatoyancy in the wood that can cause it to have burls and spirals in the wood itself, and may resemble the light reflecting properties of tigers eye of gems. This type of wood is very difficult to find, and is our favorite choice for this type of jewelry and earrings we create. To choose a perfect piece of wood for our jewelry we find a raw log and split it centrally, then smooth it to look for the shine and color of the wood. If the colors and shine of the wood are what we are looking for, and the wood is strong and beautiful with unique character, we slice it carefully into half inch thick slabs and machine them into smooth sections that are ready to draw our designs one for the first stage of carving and creating the finished earrings or jewelry creation for you. The process of making a single pair of earrings or piece of jewelry from beginning to end, starting with choosing and curing the wood takes about 6 months. The time it takes to properly dry the wood so it can be carved into lasting jewelry is long, and it must dry slowly out of the sun to avoid having cracks, but must also be kept away from rain and dampness so that the wood does not grow anything that would affect the finished earrings or jewelry. We never select wood that has any cracks, because we want the jewelry to be lasting and high quality.

Now, we finally have our beautiful material ready to begin to allow the craftsman to reveal the brilliant piece of jewelry hidden in the wood we have chosen. We then take each board and carefully sketch the design and note the thickness of the finished pieces, and begin the process of making blanks that with care will be transformed into earrings, necklaces or jewelry of another type. There are many more steps to making a perfect set of earrings than there are to making a simple pendant or necklace, as earrings must match perfectly. We mirror the split wood for earrings so that the grain of the wood and pattern makes a perfect set, and must keep them together so they do not get mixed up and become mismatched. The process of making the earrings seems to have just begun at this point, even though we have been waiting months for the wood to be ready. This is where our creativity in jewelry design and creation gets to be explored. Sometimes when we get en exciting and colorful or shining piece, we reserve it for certain types of our tribal jewelry, knowing that some designs make the natural character of the wood more brilliant in a set of wooden earrings, fake gauges or a particular carved necklace. The shine of the wood comes out more on hoop earrings and in pieces carved with spirals and simple flat areas polished to a high shine, so we try to hold on to our favorite beautiful natural wood for the jewelry that will best show its brilliance.

We offer carved jewelry handmade in fine exotic wood. Lightweight and smooth tribal earrings, richly natural colored wood in tones from eggshell, deep chocolate, grey, midnight green to purplish red and brown are finely carved and polished by hand to create this natural wood jewelry.

The trees re-sprout freely from the stump after cutting.

WOOD JEWELRY CARE:

Our fine wooden earrings and jewelry are natural and should be treated with care.

cleaning:
Clean the wood with a soft cloth after use, or every few days if you wear it all the time. NEVER use any type of brush on the wood while wet, but you can use a soft brush to clean it while it is completely dry.  It can also be cleaned with mild soap and water when needed, but not too often.
Dry completely.
Oil lightly with jojoba oil or another natural oil intended for organic or wood jewelry.
Please do not leave it for a long time in your car, sunny windows, or other hot or sunny place, or in a place where it will be wet.

storage:
Keep your jewelry dry and fresh, in a cool, dry place. (like your dresser or jewelry box.)
Do not leave it for a long time in your car, sunny windows, or other hot or sunny places or in places where it will get wet or stay damp or moist. If your  jewelry looks like it needs it, polish it with a soft cloth first, then if needed it may be oiled, but don't over do the oiling, it will make the shine disappear and the color of the wooden jewelry will darken or lighten, depending on the type of wood.

The carved wood jewelry needs to be conditioned, and should be oiled as we suggest in the beginning of this page. This will help to maintain the color and integrity of the material, and may deepen the color slightly. This may also happen over time due to the natural oils of your skin absorbing into the material as it becomes a part of your daily life, however, you should still take the time to clean and condition your  jewelry.
